Tether has announced that its stablecoin USD₮ has been recognized as a "Fiat-Backed Token (AFRT)" by the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM). The Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) of ADGM has approved USD₮ for regulated activities on several major blockchain networks, including Aptos, Celo, Cosmos, Kaia, Near, Polkadot, Tezos, TON, and TRON. This approval allows authorized institutions to offer compliant services related to USD₮ on these networks. Previously, USD₮ was already approved for use on Ethereum, Solana, and Avalanche within ADGM.
