Tether has announced a partnership with Opera to enhance support for USD₮ and Tether Gold (XAUt0) in Opera's Celo-based self-custodial wallet, MiniPay. This collaboration aims to provide emerging market users with stable assets denominated in dollars and gold. MiniPay has already achieved significant traction, with 12.6 million activated wallets and a total of 350 million transactions. In December 2025 alone, the platform facilitated $153 million in transfers.
