Symbiotic has launched Core V2, evolving from a restaking protocol to a DeFi shared collateral infrastructure. This new version allows diverse applications like insurance, credit, and real-world assets (RWA) to utilize a unified collateral pool. Each vault can independently manage risk parameters and asset conditions, with on-chain enforcement. Idle funds are directed to lending protocols such as Aave and Morpho for yield generation. The first product leveraging Core V2, Liquid Lane, facilitates instant RWA settlement, enabling tokenized assets to be exchanged for stablecoins. Nexus Mutual plans to use Core V2 for reinsurance, while Cap aims to expand institutional credit guarantees. Symbiotic has previously raised $29 million in Series A and $5.8 million in seed funding.
