Symbiotic has teamed up with Chainlink and Lombard to enhance the security of cross-chain Bitcoin transactions, specifically for Lombard Staked Bitcoin (LBTC). This collaboration integrates Chainlink's Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) with Symbiotic's restaking framework, ensuring secure LBTC transfers across different blockchains. Lombard, which holds over $1.5 billion in total value locked, is also set to launch its native token, BARD.
Symbiotic has introduced two new staking vaults: a $100 million LINK vault and a 20 million BARD vault, offering returns of up to 15% APY. With $1.28 billion in total value locked, Symbiotic is positioning itself as a significant player in the restaking sector. The integration aims to provide stronger economic guarantees by turning passive crypto assets into active security infrastructure.
