Swarm, a regulated DeFi platform with a total value locked (TVL) of $7 million, is set to launch nine tokenized equities on Plasma's mainnet this Thursday. The tokenized stocks, which include major companies like Apple, Microsoft, and Tesla, will be tradeable against stablecoins. These equities are issued under the EU Prospectus Regulation, providing legal rights to the underlying assets.
Plasma, a Tether-backed Layer 1 blockchain, is optimized for stablecoin transfers and is compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM). The network will debut with over $2 billion in committed liquidity, enhancing its capacity to support these new tokenized assets.
