Summer.fi has announced its closure following a significant attack on the Lazy Summer Protocol on July 6, which resulted in the theft of approximately $6.04 million from two USDC Vaults on the Ethereum mainnet. The attack severely impacted the protocol's financial stability, leading to the decision to shut down both Summer.fi and the Labs company behind it. Despite the closure, the Summer.fi frontend will remain operational until August 31, allowing users to manage their assets. The future of the Lazy Summer Protocol will be determined by the Lazy Summer DAO, which is working on restoring full Vault withdrawal and redemption processes. Official support channels, including email and Discord, will remain open until the end of August to assist users during the transition.
