South Korean authorities have arrested three individuals involved in a crypto price manipulation scam that defrauded 27 victims of 5.8 billion won. The Gyeonggi Provincial Police Agency's Criminal Investigation Division identified the main suspect, known as A, and transferred four accomplices to the prosecution without detention. The group allegedly lured victims by falsely promising substantial returns on virtual currency investments, claiming they could manipulate prices or that certain tokens were about to be listed. The investigation uncovered that the suspects conducted investment seminars targeting wealthy individuals, falsely guaranteeing at least triple returns. Some of the tokens promoted had already been delisted. The proceeds from the scam were reportedly used for entertainment and debt repayment.
