Slips, a peer-to-peer esports platform, has successfully raised $3.5 million in a seed funding round led by Las Olas Capital and Sunset Bay Capital. Notable investor Andrew Schwartzberg, co-owner of the Charlotte Hornets and Leeds United, also participated. The platform, which allows user-to-user betting without a bookmaker, has reported a 500% annual growth rate. The funds will be allocated towards technology upgrades, team expansion, user growth, and the development of crypto payments and stablecoin withdrawals, alongside plans for international market expansion.
