Santiment founder Maksim Balashevich has suggested that the liquidation of Michael Saylor's Strategy could serve as a major catalyst for a Bitcoin bull market. In an interview, Balashevich noted that extreme negative events, such as the FTX crash, often mark market bottoms. Strategy, which holds around 772,000 Bitcoins, representing about 3.7% of the total supply, could signal a strong market bottom if it faces financial difficulties. Despite Strategy's debt maturities being primarily due between 2027 and 2032, Balashevich speculates that continued market deterioration might lead to shareholder pressure, potentially forcing the company to adjust its Bitcoin holdings. This scenario, he believes, could trigger significant market movements.
