Qualcomm announced a multi-generation partnership with Amazon to develop customized chips for large-scale AI data centers and advance AI inference. The companies are also developing optical interconnect solutions reaching up to 1.6T and future generations. Qualcomm plans to expand its use of AWS AI infrastructure, including Amazon Bedrock, for electronic design automation workloads to shorten chip design cycles. Qualcomm shares rose as much as 10% in pre-market trading.
