Anthropic has reached a cloud computing agreement worth $35 billion with Lambda, a cloud service provider backed by Nvidia, according to informed trading sources cited by Sina Finance on September 1. The arrangement centers on a data center under construction in Nueces County, Texas, by Hut 8, with leasing rights held by Nvidia. Sources said Nvidia signed a contract with Hut 8 several weeks ago to secure the computing capacity. Lambda is set to use the Hut 8 facility to deploy Nvidia chips, allowing the cloud provider to serve Anthropic without purchasing its own data center site. The amount Lambda will pay Nvidia for use of the site remains unclear.
