A pro-AI group, supported by Donald Trump advisor David Sacks, plans to invest at least $100 million in the upcoming U.S. midterm elections to back candidates favorable to artificial intelligence. This initiative by Innovation Council Action aims to counter increasing demands for stricter AI regulations. This financial commitment adds to nearly $200 million already raised by other pro-AI entities, highlighting the significance of AI policy in the congressional elections. Last year, the political action committee Leading the Future, supported by notable figures such as Greg Brockman of OpenAI and venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz, raised $125 million to promote pro-AI candidates.
