PostFinance has announced the expansion of its cryptocurrency services to Swiss corporate clients starting May 2026. The bank will allow companies, financial institutions, insurers, pension funds, and corporations to trade 22 cryptocurrencies and hold these assets in custody through its in-house channels. This move positions PostFinance as one of the first Swiss retail banks to offer digital assets in the B2B segment, operating on an execution-only basis without providing investment advice. The services are accessible 24/7 via E-Finance and the PostFinance app, with custody managed by Sygnum Bank.
Sygnum Bank, a FINMA-regulated entity, provides the technical infrastructure for PostFinance's expanded offering. The platform supports API-based digital asset services, already utilized by over 15 Swiss banks and international financial institutions. Corporate clients can execute savings plans and individual orders starting at USD 50, with Ethereum staking available as a yield component. This expansion follows PostFinance's initial retail crypto offering launched in February 2024, which has seen significant adoption with 36,000 crypto custody accounts and over 565,000 transactions to date.
