South Korea's seventh-largest pension relief company, Bumo Sarang, reported a significant financial setback due to its investment in a leveraged Ethereum-themed ETF. Last year, the company invested 59.5 billion KRW in BitMine's daily double return leveraged ETF. However, the downturn in the cryptocurrency market led to a drastic reduction in the product's book value, which fell to 10.2 billion KRW by the end of the year, resulting in a book loss of approximately 49.3 billion KRW.
