PharmaTrace has secured 300,000 HBAR tokens from the Thrive Hedera project to advance its decentralized information identification system (DePIN) for pharmaceutical supply chains. The funding will support the migration of PharmaTrace's traceability system from Hyperledger Fabric to a public permissioned architecture on Hedera, utilizing Hedera Token Service (HTS) for product serialization and Hedera Consensus Service (HCS) for verifiable event logs. This hybrid model aims to facilitate public verification while maintaining data privacy. Additionally, PharmaTrace plans to introduce a utility token linked to reporting accuracy and governance, enhancing the transparency and reliability of pharmaceutical supply chain management.
