Optimism has announced that the Superchain 16a upgrade is set to be deployed to the mainnet on October 2, following governance approval. The upgrade proposal will first be implemented on Superchain Sepolia on September 22. This maintenance upgrade aims to replace U16 with a safer and more flexible system, enhancing the network's security and adaptability.
