Seattle-based artificial intelligence company Nuance completed a $50 million Series A funding round led by Lightspeed Venture Partners. Accel, NVIDIA's NVentures, South Park Commons, and Define Ventures also participated.
Founded last year by three former Apple researchers, Nuance is developing multimodal AI models with stronger emotional understanding capabilities. The company previously raised a $10 million seed round led by Accel in July last year.
