Nous Research, the developer behind the open-source AI agent Hermes, is close to securing a new funding round of at least $75 million, achieving a post-money valuation of approximately $1.5 billion. The round is led by Robot Ventures, with participation from USV and other institutions. Founded in 2023, Nous Research has previously raised $70 million from investors such as Paradigm and North Island Ventures. Hermes, their AI agent, offers features like search, coding, and image understanding, and has gained significant traction on GitHub with 214,000 stars and nearly 40,000 forks. Subscription prices for Hermes range from $20 to $200 per month.
