Announced by CEO Satya Nadella, this update addresses previous limitations where Copilot's edits directly overwrote content, hindering auditability in sensitive scenarios like contract reviews. Now, every modification is recorded at the word level, enabling rollback and compliance with regulatory requirements. Additional features include commenting capabilities, automatic table of contents generation, and management of dynamic page elements. These enhancements are part of Microsoft's Work IQ layer, ensuring data security and compliance. Currently, these features are available on Windows desktop through the Frontier program, with plans for Mac and web versions.
