Japanese-listed Bitcoin treasury firm Metaplanet has revised its financial forecasts, projecting 2025 revenue of approximately 58 billion yen ($580 million) and operating profit of about $40 million. The company anticipates nearly doubling its revenue to $1.03 billion and operating profit to $73 million by 2026. However, due to a decline in Bitcoin's year-end price, Metaplanet expects to record a non-cash impairment loss of $680-$700 million in 2025, resulting in an estimated recurring loss of $630 million and a net loss of $490 million for the year. The firm's Bitcoin holdings increased from 1,762 BTC at the end of 2024 to 35,102 BTC by the end of 2025.
