Brazilian crypto exchange Mercado Bitcoin announced a phased reopening of its platform starting November 9. The first phase will restore website access for users to view balances, statements, assets, and investments, while transfers, withdrawals, and trading will resume successively after each module passes final security verification. The exchange confirmed that customer assets will not suffer any losses and pledged to use its own funds to compensate for assets involved in the incident. In collaboration with Tether, Circle, Paxos, BRL1, Chainalysis, and crypto community experts, more than $15 million in related assets have been frozen, up from the previously reported $12.9 million.
