Solana staking protocol Marinade announced it will temporarily waive validator bond penalties caused by a bug in Agave 4.3.2 nodes running Alpenglow. The issue causes affected validators to skip approximately half of their slots during the first block-production window of each Epoch.
Until a fix is released, Marinade's Protected Staking Rewards (PSR) mechanism will not deduct bonds for these missed slots, and the Staking Auction Market (SAM) will not count them against uptime requirements. The protocol emphasized that client bugs should not be held against validators.
