Lido DAO has voted to revoke the official bridge support for wrapped staked Ether (wstETH) on nine networks, including zkSync Era, Scroll, and Polygon PoS. This decision, announced on the Lido blog, reallocates resources at the governance level but does not impact the technical functionality of the bridges and contracts involved. Users can continue to hold, transfer, or bridge wstETH back to Ethereum on these networks without disruption. While Lido will cease security monitoring and ecosystem support for these networks, it has not imposed a migration deadline. The move reflects a strategic shift in Lido's resource allocation, focusing on other priorities within its ecosystem.
