The role of industry leaders in establishing trust and security within the DeFi sector is under scrutiny. Concerns have been raised about the reliance on these leaders due to their perceived credibility, despite potential risks of malicious actors infiltrating the system. Questions arise about the actions industry leaders should take if trust is compromised, and how to prevent leaders from developing ulterior motives. A proposal suggests starting with a small DeFi project involving three industry leaders to test these ideas. This approach aims to validate the concept of building a trustworthy framework within DeFi, addressing the complexities of human nature and the potential for trust erosion.
