A Hong Kong woman lost HK$5.2 million in a cryptocurrency scam involving Tether (USDT) after being lured by a supposed expert she met in a second-hand furniture group. The victim was directed to a fraudulent website and made over 60 transactions, transferring funds and virtual currency to the scammer's account. The scam was uncovered when the scammer refused to allow withdrawals.
