The Hong Kong High Court jury has acquitted former Huobi Group senior manager Chen Bo-liang of all charges related to the alleged misappropriation of 4.999 million USDT, valued at approximately HKD 39.18 million. Chen faced six counts of dishonest use of a computer and one count of money laundering, all of which were found not guilty. The prosecution had accused Chen of using an alias to open accounts for unrestricted dark pool trading in 2020, transferring funds to personal OKX and Binance accounts. Notably, former Huobi COO Zhu Jiawei and other ex-executives declined to testify as prosecution witnesses.
