HoneyCoin, a Kenyan Web3 payment platform, has secured $4.9 million in a funding round led by Flourish Ventures. The investment will support the expansion of operations, product enhancement, and the recruitment of senior executives. Founded by David Nandwa in 2020, HoneyCoin processes over $150 million in monthly transactions and serves 350 enterprise clients across 45 countries. The platform, which facilitates instant or same-day settlements through a stablecoin-compatible system, has partnerships with MoneyGram, UBA Bank, and Stripe. The new funding will also aid in team expansion and compliance efforts, further solidifying HoneyCoin's position in the Web3 payment space.
