The global number of cryptocurrency ATMs has decreased for the first time since March 2025, with 403 machines removed since October, bringing the total to 39,122 as of November 23, 2025. Despite this decline, the year has seen a net addition of approximately 1,480 ATMs. North America continues to dominate the market, hosting 88.5% of all machines, with the U.S. alone accounting for 78.3%.
Bitcoin Depot remains the leading operator with 9,238 ATMs, followed by Coinflip and Athena Bitcoin. This reduction in ATM numbers comes amid heightened regulatory scrutiny and a potential $100 million sale by operator Crypto Dispensers.
