Global publicly traded companies have significantly increased their Bitcoin holdings, purchasing a total of $2.03 billion worth of the cryptocurrency in the past week. This marks a 4,403.11% increase from the previous week. Strategy, formerly known as MicroStrategy, led the surge with a $2.01 billion investment, acquiring 24,869 bitcoins at an average price of $80,985 each, boosting its total holdings to 843,738 BTC. Other notable purchases include The Smarter Web Company from the UK, which invested $2.84 million to buy 35 bitcoins, and French company Capital B, which spent $15.02 million on 192 bitcoins. Brazilian firm OrangeBTC also added 5 bitcoins to its holdings. Collectively, these acquisitions have increased the total Bitcoin holdings of global public companies to 1,113,841 BTC, valued at approximately $86.16 billion, representing 5.6% of Bitcoin's circulating market cap.
