Gemini's Olympus division has been granted a Derivatives Clearing Organization (DCO) license by the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). This license allows Gemini to independently manage clearing, risk, and collateral as an internal clearing house. Co-founder Cameron Winklevoss highlighted this development as a significant step in expanding Gemini's offerings beyond the spot market to include a comprehensive trading ecosystem with prediction markets, futures, options, and perpetual contracts.
This approval follows Gemini's acquisition of a Designated Contract Market (DCM) license in December 2025. The company plans to integrate its prediction market and derivatives operations into its Titan platform, further enhancing its market presence and capabilities.
