Google Cloud's CEO has confirmed that Gemini will collaborate with Apple to launch a personalized version of Siri by 2026. This development follows Apple's ongoing tests of a standalone Siri app in iOS 27 and macOS 27, which will transform Siri into a chatbot-like interface. The new Siri will support text and voice interactions, featuring conversation history, favorited chats, and a search history. It will also relocate its visual interface to the Dynamic Island, with a new "Ask Siri" button. The update will utilize Apple's Foundation Models and integrate with Google's Gemini technology, as part of a $1 billion partnership between the companies. Official announcements are expected at WWDC26 on June 8.
