The market capitalization of euro-denominated stablecoins has surged to approximately $683 million, doubling since the EU's Crypto Asset Market Regulation (MiCA) took effect. Despite this growth, euro stablecoins remain significantly smaller compared to their dollar-denominated counterparts, which boast a market cap exceeding $300 billion. Leading euro stablecoins such as EURS and EURC have driven this growth. EURS experienced a 6.44% increase in market capitalization, while Circle's EURC and Société Générale's EURCV saw transaction volumes rise by 1139% and 343%, respectively. Additionally, interest in euro stablecoins has spiked across the EU, with notable increases in search activity in Finland and Italy, according to Decta's "2025 Euro Stablecoin Trends Report."
