The European Union has imposed sanctions on individuals and entities involved in using cryptocurrencies to meddle in elections and evade sanctions. Among those targeted are pro-Kremlin figure Simeon Boikov and Moldova's A7 platform. The sanctions also extend to A7 OOO, a company implicated in influencing Moldovan elections, linked to fugitive oligarch Ilan Shor, who was responsible for a $1 billion loss in Moldova.
