ETHZilla has acquired a 15% stake in digital mortgage platform Zippy for approximately $21 million, as announced on its official website. This strategic investment includes an agreement to tokenize manufacturing housing loans as on-chain Real-World Assets (RWA). Zippy, which focuses on the US manufacturing housing market, raises $14 billion annually.
The acquisition will enhance ETHZilla's RWA strategy, with Zippy's on-chain operations set to exclusively use ETHZilla's platforms, including Liquidity.io, over the next 36 months. This partnership aims to provide institutional investors with on-chain access to bonds, leveraging ETHZilla's technological infrastructure.
