EtherFi has proposed deploying a dedicated Aave V4 instance on the OP Mainnet to support its Visa card product, EtherFi Cash. The proposal, submitted on the Aave governance forum, suggests an isolated whitelist mode operated entirely by EtherFi, with Aave providing deployment and operational licenses. Revenue from reserve fees would be shared between EtherFi and Aave DAO at an 80-20 ratio. The proposal outlines that GHO will be the supply and borrow reserve asset once launched on OP Mainnet. EtherFi plans to bring up to $175 million in assets at launch, with the Optimism Foundation contributing $20 million in supply and a $1.2 million incentives package. EtherFi Cash currently manages $25 million in active loans, aiming to reach $500 million in assets by the end of 2026. The proposal projects annual revenue of $5 million to $6 million for the instance. Currently in the Temp Check stage, the proposal targets deployment in July 2026 if approved.
