Ethereum researchers have proposed the Fork Select Forced Include List (FOCIL) as a key mechanism to enhance censorship resistance in the upcoming Hegota upgrade. Researcher Thomas Thiery, known as "soispoke," suggests integrating FOCIL, also referred to as EIP-7805, into Ethereum's next major protocol update. This proposal aims to enable multiple validators to enforce transaction inclusion, thereby reducing the network's dependence on a centralized block builder. The Hegota upgrade is anticipated to launch later this year following the Glamsterdam update.
