The Ethereum Foundation has staked over 45,000 Ether (ETH) tokens, bringing its total staked amount to approximately 69,500 ETH, just shy of its 70,000 ETH target. This significant move, executed on April 3rd, involved multiple transactions totaling $92.2 million worth of ETH, transferred from the foundation's treasury to the Ethereum Beacon Deposit Contract. The foundation's recent staking activities follow a strategic shift initiated in February, aimed at enhancing financial sustainability and supporting decentralized finance (DeFi) applications. Previously, the foundation had staked 2,016 ETH in February and 22,517 ETH in March. The Ethereum Foundation's updated treasury strategy also includes periodic sales of ETH to manage fiat-denominated asset deviations, with a recent 5,000 ETH sale completed over-the-counter. Currently, Ethereum's price remains stable above $2,000, despite being 60% below its all-time high.
