The Ethereum Foundation has announced that over 100 core contributors have agreed to set the Gas Limit bottom target at 200 million following the Glamsterdam upgrade. This increase is attributed to adjustments in the ePBS structure, optimizations in the Block Access List (BAL), and the repricing of state creation costs under EIP-8037. The Soldøgn Interop meeting also successfully implemented ePBS with end-to-end testing on the testnet, fixed the state byte cost for EIP-8037, and conducted preliminary research on features like FOCIL and native account abstraction for the upcoming Hegotá upgrade.
