The Ethereum Foundation has announced the launch of its "Privacy Cluster," a new initiative aimed at advancing privacy technologies within the blockchain ecosystem. Coordinated by Igor Barinov, the cluster brings together 47 researchers and engineers to focus on developing full-stack privacy infrastructure. This initiative builds on the Privacy and Scaling Explorations (PSE) team's efforts since 2018. Key projects under the Privacy Cluster include Private Reads/Writes, Private Proving, Private Identities/zkID, Privacy Experience, the Institutional Privacy Task Force (IPTF), and Kohaku, a privacy-preserving wallet and software development kit (SDK). These projects aim to enhance privacy features across various aspects of blockchain technology, ensuring more secure and private transactions for users.
