The Ethereum Foundation, in collaboration with Secureum, The Red Guild, and the Security Alliance (SEAL), has released the final report for the ETH Rangers project. Launched at the end of 2024, the initiative aimed to fund independent researchers providing public security services to the Ethereum ecosystem. Over a six-month funding period, 17 grantees achieved notable results, including the recovery or freezing of over $5.8 million, reporting or documenting more than 785 vulnerabilities and client bugs, identifying approximately 100 North Korean IT workers from various teams, and handling over 36 incident responses.
