Ethereum core developers have decided to shift the implementation of the FOCIL update to the upcoming Heka upgrade, moving away from the initial plan to include it in the Glamsterdam upgrade. This decision was made during the 169th Ethereum consensus layer core developer meeting (ACDC) held on November 14. The team plans to reassess the inclusion of FOCIL in the Heka upgrade at the next ACDC meeting in two weeks.
In addition, the Fusaka mainnet upgrade is set to activate on December 3, following a successful testnet hard fork on November 12. This upgrade is part of Ethereum's ongoing efforts to enhance its network capabilities and performance.
