Ethereum Name Service (ENS) has deployed ENSv2 on mainnet, introducing a new architecture that enables each name to establish an independent registry for its subnames. The upgrade features granular permission controls, allowing multiple parties to jointly manage the same namespace through the newly launched ENS App and ENS Explorer.
More than 40 teams have completed v2 integration, including major protocols such as 1inch, Aragon, Arbitrum, Jumper, Lighter, MetaMask, and Safe. Existing ENS names remain valid without requiring re-registration, though eligible.eth names may choose to upgrade to the new standard. ENS also issued a commemorative NFT to mark the launch.
