Christoph Jentzsch, a member of the ENS community, has proposed dissolving the ENS DAO, citing its collapse and suggesting the transformation of ENS into public infrastructure. Jentzsch, who has no formal role in ENS governance, made the proposal on the X platform, advocating for the burning of ENSv2 Universal Router keys and the distribution of remaining funds. The proposal follows actions by ENS co-founder Nick Johnson, who previously vetoed a Security Council renewal vote and supported expanding the ENS Foundation's treasury control by self-delegating significant voting power. Jentzsch referenced concerns that ENS Labs, through Johnson, is exerting control over the DAO's operations, treasury, and Security Council, leading to claims that the DAO has been "captured."
