Stablecoin payment firm dtcpay has received a strategic investment from Japanese financial giant SBI Group, bringing its total Series A funding to $25 million. The round was previously led in April by Vertex Ventures, a Temasek subsidiary, with participation from Genedant Capital and Capella Hotel Group founder Kwee Liong Tek.
SBI Group stated the investment initiates a strategic partnership to expand the digital asset corridor between Japan and Southeast Asia. As an official Visa member with licensed operations across Singapore, Hong Kong, Luxembourg, Australia, the United States, and Canada, dtcpay continues to build compliant infrastructure for global stablecoin payments through its issued stablecoin Visa cards.
