Two long-dormant wallets associated with Casascius physical bitcoins have transferred approximately 2,000 BTC, valued at around $180 million, after more than a decade of inactivity. These bitcoins, untouched since 2011 and 2012 when BTC was priced under $15, have now moved as the cryptocurrency approaches $90,000. Casascius coins, known for their embedded private keys, were a popular offline storage solution until production ceased in 2013 due to regulatory pressure from FinCEN. Currently, about 90,000 physical coins remain in circulation, mostly containing small amounts of BTC, with only six coins and 16 bar versions holding 1,000 BTC each.
