Soter Insure, a digital asset-focused insurer, closed its Series B funding round with strategic investments from SC Ventures — Standard Chartered's innovation and venture arm — and Japanese financial conglomerate SBI Group. Existing backer Token Bay Capital also increased its stake in the round.
The Series B was previously led by Galaxy, with additional participation from Coinbase Ventures, Franklin Templeton and Brevan Howard Digital. Headquartered in Abu Dhabi with operations based in Bermuda, Soter Insure provides insurance products for financial institutions operating in the digital asset economy.
