AI research institution DeepSeek is leading a seed funding round for robotics AI startup Winverse AI with an investment in the tens of millions of dollars. The round, which also includes participation from Meituan’s Long-Z Investments, values the stealth-mode company at approximately $400 million post-money. Winverse AI was founded by a former top AI scientist from Tencent and operates in the embodied AI sector. DeepSeek is allocating capital from its more than $12 billion war chest to back the venture, signaling a strategic expansion beyond large language models into real-world robot control and AI infrastructure development.
