A new decentralized society (DeSoc) is taking shape, centered on the idea of 'sovereign individuals.' This concept envisions a world where real-world assets and organizations are integrated into the blockchain, allowing identities, credit, and social relationships to be freely transferable. Key to this transformation is Ethereum's infrastructure, which includes decentralized identifiers, zero-knowledge proofs, and soul-bound tokens. These technologies are paving the way for identity sovereignty and economic autonomy. The article suggests that this shift will enable individuals to move seamlessly across digital autonomous organizations (DAOs), reducing costs and enhancing governance. This evolution is expected to drive the optimization of governance structures and foster a self-governing digital civilization, where competitive governance becomes the norm.
