Authorities in Spain's Basque region report a significant rise in crypto-related crimes, with 541 cases currently under investigation. The cases include 13 instances of crypto fraud and 2 cases of money laundering involving digital assets. In response, a dedicated cybercrime unit comprising 26 detectives has been established to tackle these offenses. Police have also issued warnings about scams on local social media platforms, where fraudsters impersonate acquaintances to promote fake crypto investment opportunities.
