Founded by Brendan McCord and Matt Mandel, the firm targets "philosopher-builders" creating foundational infrastructure and organizations at the intersection of artificial intelligence and human systems.
The fund has already deployed capital into AIUC, Prime Intellect, Workshop Labs (acquired by Thinking Machines), and an undisclosed education company. Notable limited partners backing Fund I include Reid Hoffman, Joe Liemandt, Stand Together, Fred Wilson, Micky Malka, and Astera Institute.
